8-WEEK POETRY WORKSHOP at WRITERS’ DOJO: “Roll, Tumble and Burn”
The first of two eight-week writing workshops we’ll be running at the Dojo in 2013, Roll, Tumble and Burn is dedicated to the fine act of shaking your poems down from their trees, figuring out where to needle, when to noodle, and just how long to hold on before we take flame to paper. Previous workshop experience isn’t necessary, but an open mind is.
The workshop will be part generative and part critique, so we’ll be conjuring new poems while we craft and cut at the ones we’ve been carrying.
DATES and TIMES: Saturday afternoons, April 13 thru June 1, 1 to 4 p.m.
WORKSHOP FEES: $235, payable in one or two installments via check, cash or via Paypal.
WHERE: Writers’ Dojo, 7506 N. Chicago Ave., Portland, OR 97203.
TO REGISTER: Send a note via the Inquire page, and indicate that you’re interested in this workshop.
